Gardner back on Palace’s radar after Forest move falls through

Crystal Palace are back in for Anthony Gardner following his failure to win a deal at Nottingham Forest.

The former Spurs defender was released from Hull City earlier this summer and is currently without a club.

He bagged a trial with Steve McClaren's Forest but has failed to settle on a contract at the City Ground.

Gardner, 29, is now back on Dougie Freedman's radar following a loan spell at Selhurst Park last season.

Palace originally wanted Gardner before he opted to have a trial at Forest but Freedman is now confident he can get his man second time around.
