Championship round-up: Saints stumble against Ipswich

League leaders Southampton stumbled as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ipswich.
That result leaves Nigel Adkins’ side just two points clear of second placed West Ham, who have two games in hand, and three clear of Reading in third place who also have a game in hand.
The Royals continued their fine form with a narrow 1-0 win against troubled Portsmouth, thanks to a first half goal from Noel Hunt.
Elsewhere in the play-off reckoning Middlesbrough moved up to fourth with a 2-0 victory against Barnsley, while Blackpool dropped a place to fifth after a 2-1 defeat to Derby.
Neil Warnock is still waiting for his first win and goal as Leeds boss following a 0-0 draw against Hull who remain ninth.
Leicester’s resurgent form, which saw them win back-to-back league games for the first time all season, came to an end as they crashed to struggling Bristol City, 3-2.
Doncaster dragged themselves off the foot of the table with a 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest, to be replaced by Portsmouth, and Millwall put eight points between themselves and the relegation zone after romping to a 3-0 win at Peterborough.
In the other game Coventry could only manage a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, which sees them remain three points short of safety.
