Sven’s Leicester swoop for Villa defender Davies

Leicester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson has signed Aston Villa defender Curtis Davies on a month's loan.

Davies has been unable to gain a regular starting spot at Villa Park since recovering from shoulder surgery last season.

But the 25-year-old centre-back will go straight into Eriksson's squad to face Hull, in the Swede's first game in charge.

Davies has played two games for Villa this term but is yet to feature in the league.
