QPR star Orr: ‘We’ll win promotion for injured Mackie’

QPR defender Bradley Orr says the Championship leaders will win promotion for Jamie Mackie.

The striker will miss the rest of the season after breaking both the tibia and fibula in his right leg during Rangers' FA Cup defeat to Blackburn.

And Orr believes the perfect way to pay tribute to their team-mate would be to win promotion and ensure his first game back in action is in the Premier League.

"Winning promotion would be fitting for Jamie, as he has been such a big influence in the first-half of the season," said Orr, who was one of the players who criticised El-Hadji Diouf on twitter for allegedly insulting Mackie while the Scot lay injured at Ewood Park.

"Jamie is a cracking lad, and as honest as the day is long. He is a massive part of our team, and we want to try and win promotion for him as much as we do for ourselves."
