Tottenham, Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal: When English teams tear up Europe!

1) Juventus 2-3 Man United: 21/04/99
It was a glorious comeback as Man United came from 2-0 down in Turin. The fightback was led by captain Roy Keane, who despite a booking meaning he would miss the final, led his side to an inspired victory. Goals from Dwight Yorke, Andy Cole and the skipper ensured United went through and they eventually won the Champions League.
2) Bayern Munich 1-2 Norwich City: 20/10/93
Mike Walker's boys had finished third in the inaugural Premier League and entered the UEFA Cup for the first time where they saw off the German giants Bayern in the second round. Yes, Spencer Prior, Ian Culverhouse, Ruel Fox and co. successfully saw off a team led by World Cup winner Lothar Matthaus, fantastic!
3) Real Madrid 0-1 Arsenal: 21/02/06
The Gunners have been involved in many remarkable overseas triumphs and in 2006 they became the first English side to beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu. Thierry Henry's strike moments into the second half gave Arsenal a stunning win.
4) AC Milan 0-2 Arsenal: 04/03/08
Arsene Wenger's boys again made history with another magnificent win, this time becoming the first English side to beat AC Milan at the San Siro. With five minutes left to play, midfielder Cesc Fabregas' 30-yard screamer put them ahead while Emmanuel Adebayor made sure of a place in the last eight of the Champions League.
5) Barcelona 1-2 Liverpool: 21/02/07
Before the match all the headlines were of Liverpool pair Craig Bellamy and John Arne Riise's bust up where the Welshman was alleged to have hit his team-mate with a golf club. However, the two scored to bring the Reds from behind and give them a famous victory in the last 16 of the Champions League.
6) Real Madrid 0-1 Liverpool: 25/02/09
The Reds put themselves in a perfect position to overcome their opponents in the second leg. Yossi Benayoun's header on 82 minutes was enough to give them victory in the Bernabeu while the Madrid side were hammered 4-0 when they squared up at Anfield for the return.
7) Valencia 1-2 Chelsea: 10/04/07
Chelsea had been held to 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge in the first leg but came from a goal behind in Spain to progress to the Champions League semi final. They left it late though but if there is one player you can count on, it's Michael Essien, whose 90th minute winner ensured victory.
8) Inter Milan 1-5 Arsenal: 25/11/03
Goals from Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg, Edu and a brace from Theirry Henry humiliated the Italian club in front of their own support in the Champions League group stage. Henry's second goal in the last 10 minutes was a particular delight. It was the 'invincibles' in their pomp.
9) Bayer Leverkusen 1-3 Newcastle: 18/02/03
The German club were beaten Champions League finalists a year earlier but the Newcastle players gave their manager Bobby Robson a wonderful 70th birthday present when they beat the German club in the second phase of the group stage. Two from Shola Ameobi and back flip specialist Lomana LuaLua made it a birthday to remember.
10) Lazio 0-4 Chelsea: 04/11/03
Chelsea took control of their Champions League group game with goals from Hernan Crespo, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Damien Duff and Frank Lampard. Glen Johnson was sent off for the Blues late on but former Serbia defender and general nutter Sinisa Mihajlovic, was given his marching orders for kicking and spitting at Adrian Mutu.
