LIVERPOOL 3-0 ARSENAL: 28/08/94
Arsenal had no reply to Liverpool or young striker Robbie Fowler, who rifled in a hat-trick in just four minutes and 33 seconds in his first full season at Anfield. He ended the campaign with 25 Premier League goals, second only to Blackburn's Alan Shearer and he put another three past the Gunners the following year, too, though Arsenal at least scored on that occasion.

ARSENAL 2-1 LIVERPOOL: 08/05/71
With this victory in the FA Cup final, Arsenal wrapped up the Double, matching the feat of their north London rivals Tottenham 10 years earlier. They had to come from behind in extra-time after Steve Heighway put the Reds ahead only for Eddie Kelly, who had replaced Peter Storey earlier on, to level things 10 minutes later. It was then up to local lad Charlie George to smash in the winner from 20 yards and promptly collapse on the ground, arms outstretched in celebration.

LIVERPOOL 3-6 ARSENAL: 09/01/07
Julio Baptista scored four as Arsenal put six past the Reds in front of their own fans at Anfield in the League Cup quarter final. Jeremie Aliadiere put the Gunners 1-0 up and Robbie Fowler equalised, but a Baptista brace and Alex Song strike meant it was 4-1 by half-time. Baptista added the club's fifth and after substitute Steven Gerrard and Sami Hyypia pulled two goals back, the Brazilian quickly made it six to seal a place in the semi final, where the Gunners saw off Tottenham but lost to Chelsea in the final.

LIVERPOOL 4-4 ARSENAL: 21/04/09
Despite the eight goals, Arsenal led at half-time by just a goal to nil, courtesy of Andrei Arshavin, who added three more after the interval. Fernando Torres and Yossi Benayoun both scored twice for Liverpool as the sides traded the lead and Rafa Benitez's side went top of the Premier League ahead of Man United on goal difference after this Anfield thriller. The Reds really needed three points and didn't last long at the summit, however, as United finished the season four points clear.

LIVERPOOL 4-2 ARSENAL: 08/04/08
Following a 1-1 stalemate at the Emirates, Liverpool set up another Champions League semi final clash with Chelsea after this thriller at Anfield, though they left it late. Fernando Torres put his then side 2-1 up after Abou Diaby and Sami Hyypia's earlier strikes, but Emmanuel Adebayor pulled his side stunned Anfield when he levelled things on the night with six minutes left to play, putting Arsenal ahead on away goals. To Arsene Wenger's horror, Liverpool immediately went up the other end and won a penalty, which was calmly dispatched by Steven Gerrard, before Ryan Babel put the result beyond doubt at the death to give Liverpool a precious victory.

ARSENAL 4-0 LIVERPOOL: 20/04/92
In the last season before the Premier League's introduction, Arsenal couldn't stop scoring at Highbury. The previous home game was a 4-1 win over Crystal Palace and the final match of the season was a 5-1 demolition of Southampton, while in February they put seven past Sheffield Wednesday. Midfielder David Hillier put the Gunners in front and Ian Wright got two either side of Anders Limpar's brilliant chip just inside the opposition half.
