Blackpool snap up Keinan

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has made his seventh signing of the summer after snapping up Israel international Dekel Keinan.

The 25-year-old central defender has joined the newly-promoted Premier League club on a free transfer from Maccabi Haifa and will go straight into the squad to face Arsenal at the Emirates this weekend.

Keinan has agreed an initial one-year deal with an option for a further 12 months and follows Chris Basham, Marlon Harewood, Ludovic Sylvestre, Elliot Grandin, Malaury Martin and Craig Cathcart to Bloomfield Road this summer.

"I'm looking forward to the first game and I'm very happy that everything is done," Keinan told Blackpool's website.

"I just want to play for Blackpool and help this team. I had different offers but, after I met the gaffer, I was sure that I wanted to play for Blackpool."
