Ancelotti admits Neymar chase is over

Chelsea have officially ended their hunt for Brazilian striker Neymar after news he has agreed to remain at Santos.

The teenage striker has been under huge pressure not to leave his home country with Pele, Robinho and even Brazil’s sports minister Orlando Silva urging him not to move to London.

Now Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti admite he has given up the chase and will switch his attentions elsewhere.

"He is staying at Santos - but I knew this because he was a Santos player, he is a Santos player, and we are not interested in Neymar," said Ancelotti.

"I said he is a young player that everyone is looking at, but this doesn’t mean this will be a Chelsea player.”
