Birmingham new boy vows to repay McLeish’s faith

New Birmingham winger Jean Beausejour has vowed to repay Alex McLeish for showing so much faith in him following his dream move into the Premier League.

Beausejour has been tracked by McLeish throughout the summer and the Birmingham boss was determined to land the signature of the Chile winger from Mexican side Club America.

The 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Midlands club and is ready to become a major star in England.

Beausejour said: "I am so happy to be playing in one of the best leagues in the world. It is one of the best moves I could have asked for.

"The club have shown a lot of faith in me and worked very hard to get me here.

"My favourite position is playing as a left winger but I will play wherever the manager wants me to."
