Redknapp insists Wolves are not a dirty team

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has leapt to the defence of Mick McCarthy - insisting Wolves are not a dirty team.

Wolves have picked up 13 yellow cards and one red in their last two Premier League matches, leading many to criticise their aggressive style of play.

But Redknapp, whose Spurs side take on Wolves at White Hart Lane tomorrow, is adamant McCarthy’s men do not deserve to be branded a dirty team.

"I’ve got no problems with Wolves, they go out and work hard and they are entitled to do that. We had no problems when we played them last year twice and they beat us fair and square," he told talkSPORT.

"They work hard and they’re competitive but I couldn’t sit here and say that they’ve done anything [wrong].

"They’ll get amongst us, they are going to make tackles, of course they are, and they’re going to work hard [because] that’s what they get paid to do. I haven’t got any problems with them."
