McCarthy: Wolves have to learn to close games out

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy believes his side have to build on the weekend defeat to Spurs and learn how to close games out.

McCarthy's men were leading 1-0 heading into the final 15 minutes at White Hart Lane before they were undone by goals from Rafael van der Vaart, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Alan Hutton.

And the Molineux boss insists he is taking the positives after his side dropped points after leading - just as they had against Newcastle and Fulham in their previous two games.

"It's fantastic that we have been in front in all three games, that's a great plus for us," he said. But we've still lost the game."
