Exclusive – Allardyce: FA chiefs are snobs when choosing England boss

Sam Allardyce has accused FA bosses of being snobs when it comes to choosing the manager of England.
The Blackburn chief has made no secret of his desire to take charge of the national team one day, and is again likely to put himself forward when Fabio Capello steps down after Euro 2012.
But the 55-year-old fears he will never get the opportunity of managing his country because his face doesn’t fit with Wembley chiefs.
“I think they look for a certain type,” Allardyce told talkSPORT as part of the ‘Evolution of Football’ series.
“I think the politically correct comes into it. I’m not so sure it should but I think it is a snobbery perhaps.”
