Beckford boost for Everton

Jermaine Beckford will give David Moyes a boost by returning to training on Tuesday.

The Everton new boy, who signed on a free transfer from Leeds earlier this summer, gave Moyes a scare when he limped out of the Toffees' 3-0 friendly win over Preston last week, having netted twice.

It was initially feared he could miss the start of the new season but his foot injury has healed sufficiently and now Beckford is set to return to light training.
