talkSPORT Exclusive – Joorabchian: ‘Ramires can be like Gerrard’

Super agent Kia Joorabchian believes Chelsea target Ramires has the potential to be as good as Steven Gerrard.

The Brazilian is poised to move to Stamford Bridge from Benfica and Joorabchian reckons he will be a mjor success in the Premier League.

He told Kick Off: "Ramires is a very dynamic player. If I was to compare him to somebody in England he would be very much a Steven Gerrard type of player.”

He added: “He’s a box to box midfielder with a lot of talent. He’s definitely a Premier League type of player.

"He has such great energy, he doesn’t stop, and he’s a great fighter. He’ll keep going for the entire 90 minutes

"He’s going to make a big, big impact on the Premier League and he’ll be a great addition for whichever club signs him."

As Ramires get set to move to England, another man with whom Joorabchain has strong links, Javier Mascherano, looks certain to be leaving.

The Argentine is expected to quit Liverpool and Joorabchian admitted: "He wants to leave. I don’t think he has anything negative to say about Liverpool, he’s always been very positive in terms of the club and the fans, but he wouldn’t mind moving out into Europe.”
