Tottenham may go back in for Adam, reveals Redknapp

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has hinted he might go back for Blackpool captain Charlie Adam in the summer.

Spurs made a last-gasp bid for Adam on transfer deadline day but saw their offer turned down by Blackpool, who also rejected bids from Aston Villa and Liverpool for their captain.

But Redknapp is an admirer of Adam and has revealed he could go back for the Scottish midfielder at the end of the season.

"I don't want to start speculating but he is a good player and has the potential to play for a big, big club," Redknapp said.

"Would I want him in the summer? He's a good player but he has to concentrate on helping Blackpool avoid relegation now.

"Charlie's future is at Blackpool until the end of the season."
