Exclusive – Boateng: ‘I didn’t join Man City for money’

German World Cup star Jerome Boateng has told talkSPORT that he hasn't joined Manchester City for the money.
The defensive ace will reportedly be paid more than £100,000 a week at Eastlands but insists that was not the main reason he quit Hamburg.
"The Premier League is the best league in the world," he said. "And that's why I'm here.
"I could have moved to other clubs that had money, but I wanted to come to City because the manager said the club wants to move forward.
"There are so many great teams in England, and the best players in the world play in England. Spain is good, but England is better.
"I had other offers from elsewhere but the choice to come to Manchester City was easy."
