Parma beat Juventus 1-0 to see the continuation of a truly frustrating Serie A campaign for the visitors. A poor first half from the travelling side saw no shots on target, while the more decisive hosts took their chance when it came. Countering one of the day's plethora of toothless Juve moves in first-half stoppage time, Valeri whipped in a delightful ball from the left to set up a fine Pellegrino header past Di Gregorio into the right side of the goal. Although it was a game of very low xG ranking, Juve felt aggrieved on more than one occasion as the yellow cards piled up. The Bianconeri had two penalty shouts for handball. The first came against Bonny in the first half, and then Hainaut in the second. Yet, with both hands deemed to be in natural positions, or close enough to the body, there was no reason for VAR to intervene. Aside from penalty shouts, Juve's best chances to equalise arrived with the late flurry of intent from Conceicao. However, he was unable to make a mark, with one effort skidding past the left post, and another hardly testing a cool-headed Suzuki. Exceeding their 0.60 xG, Parma beat Juventus for the first time in Serie A since April 2015. They now sit in 15th place, six clear of the relegation zone. FULL-TIME: PARMA 1-0 JUVENTUS

The ball just won't drop for the visitors as Kolo Muani fires across goal after a left-sided cross. Another ball comes in and Suzuki claims in what is surely the final act of the game.

Conceicao continues to be a live wire on the right. This time, Valeri kicks out, and the winger tumbles to win a dangerously positioned free-kick. Thuram is in there for the cross. The ball just hits him and trickles behind. It seemed like he wasn't looking.

We're into the second minute of five added on, and Juve keep on pushing for a leveller. Parma now have a bank of six defenders to get past. Conceicao tries another wriggling run, going for the near post this time. However, Suzuki gets down smartly.

CONCEICAO! What an equaliser that would've been! The diminutive Portuguese winger writhes inwards from the right wing, and powers a low drive just wide of Suzuki's left post!

Juventus keep crossing. Parma just keep defending for their lives and what would be an extremely valuable three points.

A cross from the right loops over everyone and finds Yildiz to half-volley. The ball hits Hainaut's hand, but neither the referee nor VAR are interested in a handball call.

Kelly comes off in Juve's final change in the trifecta. Costa is on in the Englishman's place.

Gonzalez's frustrating outing is brought to a close as he's replaced by Weah.

The next change sees Juve roll the dice. A reluctant Locatelli makes way for Douglas Luiz.

There will be further alterations as we enter the final few miutes. After a determined outing, Bonny comes off for Almqvist.

Cambiaso's eighth corner comes to nothing, and the hosts eventually bumble their way up the pitch. Momentum halts before Sohm strides onwards and goes down under the challenge of Kalulu. No foul is given, and the visitors decide to move down their right side ahead of crossing into Suzuki's gloves. He's been consistent with his claims today.

Man is denied on the Parma counter before Juve respond with a move of their own. This culminates with Conceicao surrounded in the depths of the Ducali's penalty area. The next phase sees the visitors keep this intent up, while the home team defend resolutely. There will be another corner on the left.

Conceicao jinks and drives at Hainaut, but the Frenchman slides the ball away behind with great awareness. The resulting corner on the left is swung in and, to no-one's surprise, is collected by Suzuki.

Gonzalez rushes in from the right side, dummying all the while, before playing in Thuram in the centre to shoot from outside the box. His shot is blocked and loops up, enabling Suzuki to claim in a steady manner. It's going to be all about game management now for the hosts. Parma eat up more valuable moments as a foul is won on the halfway line.

Yildiz receives the fifth booking of the game after getting tackled by Delprato on the left Juve flank, and then hauling the defender to the floor to stop the counter.

The sub's board is up now and the applause ripples around the ground. Goalscorer Pellegrino is off for Romanian international Man.

Hernani tracks back to stop Cambiaso on the left, and my word, Juve have gone short from a corner! The ball is then passed across the box for Conceicao to hit a swirling effort over the bar.

Juventus win a corner on the right, but can only look bereft as yet another set-piece comes to nothing. Veiga heads over tamely.

Hernani blasts the free-kick from range with a Roberto Carlos-esque run-up. Unfortunately, that's where the comparison ends as the shot sails harmlessly wide.

After Thuram wrestles with Bonny, Locatelli sweeps in and wipes the French forward out to earn himself a yellow card.

Juve frustrations look to simmer again now as Kolo Muani gives up possession in the Parma box, before fouling Hernani, who had run back to recover. The French striker then gives away another silly foul as he crunches through Leoni in the centre of the Parma half.

Conceicao darts to the right byline and pulls back, but there's no-one there in Juve colours. Kolo Muani then strikes after the hosts give up possession. Suzuki isn't tested, though.

Delprato defends Cambiaso well on the left to give away a corner. Sohm rises to the wing-back's delivery and Parma survive. The corners might as well go short at some point...

Valeri gives away a cheap foul on the wing as he defends a cross. The subsequent delivery looks threatening, but then we fall into first-half habits and Suzuki is keen to collect.

Sohm drives up the pitch and goes for a smart give-and-go with scorer Pellegrino before poking on target at Di Gregorio from just inside the box. It's ultimately a tame effort.

Yildiz gets straight into the action and turns Hainaut inside and out on the left before crossing to the right post. There's no one there, but the idea was great. More of that sort of offensive determination, and the Bianconeri will be back in this.

Tudor goes to the bench for answers, and brings off McKennie for one of last time out's scorers, Kenan Yildiz.

Hernani brings down McKennie, and the Juve players want a second yellow. The substitute is treading on thin ice.

Juventus still seem to be figuring out Tudor's half-time tactics here, as Parma move the ball about steadily. Conceicao seems the man who should be on the ball, with his creative ability to make something out of nothing.

The cards are starting to stack up as Gonzalez is the next to pick up a caution. He leads with his elbow as he jumps into an aerial duel with Valenti.

Looking back at that first half, it's interesting to note that Valeri only attempted four passes. It doesn't matter, though, given one of those was that beautiful cross for Pellegrino. That's been the difference so far - that decisive tendency to hit the opposition when it matters.

Conceicao shows a serious jolt of energy on the left to beat his man to the ball and cross. However, the cross is deflected and Suzuki can sprawl onto the near-post delivery.

Hernani is the game's second player in the referee's book after he clips Gonzalez cynically from behind.

Juve start quickly as Locatelli plays in Kolo Muani down the right of the box. He drives to the byline and pulls the ball back, with a sliding Leoni using his torso to direct back to Suzuki.

Parma get us back into the action for the second half, with the Ducali now moving from left to right.

After a slow half, Vlahovic comes off for Francisco Conceicao at the break. It seems that the visitors could move to a front three of Gonzalez, Kolo Muani and now Conceicao.

Initial first-half substitute Estevez makes way for Hernani as his injury proves all too much at the interval.

Juventus have struggled to make things work in Parma's final third today, with none of their five shots arriving on target. To their credit, the home side have defended admirably at times, but have combined that with fine movement in transition to lead and exceed their 0.45 xG. Juventus have an xG of 0.33 and will no doubt be looking to create better chances in the second 45 minutes.

An admittedly bleak first half comes to a close in a dramatic flurry as Parma lead Juventus 1-0. So far, this game is best summarised by the action at the end of the period. Pellegrino headed home powerfully in the 46th minute, moments after one of Juve's many attacks came to a close with a cross cleared. Up the other end, Valeri had no such issue, as he whipped in a delightful ball from the left to find his 23-year-old Argentine striker to nod in his third of the league campaign. The visitors felt aggrieved after this, as Kalulu saw a penalty claim waved away. The referee decided that Bonny's handling of the ball following his compatriot's cross was merely too close to give.

HALF-TIME: PARMA 1-0 JUVENTUS

McKennie launches in a long throw from the right, but the hosts clear once again to end the half strongly.

Kalulu crosses from the right byline as Juve keep pushing. Pellegrino deflects it behind for a corner. Cambiaso curls in a delivery, but it's straight back out to him before a decisive boot can smash out.

Juventus frustrations boil now, as Kalulu's cross hits the arm of Bonny in the Parma area! The referee says no penalty!

What a cross. Valeri gets his fifth assist of the Serie A campaign.

Juventus have not had a shot on target so far in this game. This trend continues as Gonzalez bends one around the left post from the right as the offside flag goes up.

Both sets of players briefly take on water until Estevez is deemed in solid shape to continue. It looked like a Kolo Muani challenge to the right ankle was a reason for him hitting the deck.

Parma have the ball for a spell now, yet have to be patient to knock it around a wary Juventus. Thuram wins it back before Gonzalez is fed in in the centre. His shot is blocked and ricochets out for a Suzuki goal kick. Estevez is down now. Remember, he came on in the 10th minute.

Kalulu plays in Vlahovic after a poor touch in the box from Valenti. The Serbian is blocked before Gonazalez can't reach the loose ball on the right byline. It looked like he was obstructed by the still-offside Kalulu getting back.

After deep-set positioning, Parma burst out on the counter with Pellegrino facing down Locatelli. The Argentine is indecisive in his run, and Thuram tracks back to deny him the chance to get a shot off! Great defensive effort there.

Kolo Muani bundles through one marker before passing off to Gonzalez on the edge of the home box. He turns and fires into the bodies to win a corner on the left. Cambiaso takes, yet it's cleared. Locatelli looks to float the ball back in, but Parma are standing strong.

Kalulu tries to put the cherry on top of some solid Juve ball movement as he strides through the centre of the Parma half to cross early into the box. However, despite the curl on the delivery, Suzuki reads it well to claim yet again.

Another Juve attack ends with Kelly heading tamely on target. In the next phase, they come again, but the final pass to Vlahovic is just not on. Suzuki then collects the ball and nearly gets robbed before Parma steadily play out!

Estevez upends Kolo Muani after the Frenchman evades a tackle from Delprato. Locatelli floats in a futile free-kick cross before it's eventually cleared over Kalulu's head on the right for a throw.

Kalulu powers out a cross from the left. The corner arrives and hits an unsuspecting Bonny at the back post before trickling past the right post. Juve take the goal kick before giving up possession. It's not a big problem this time, though, as Pellegrino fires from range to give Di Gregorio an easy save at his feet.

The free-kick delivery evades everyone, and we see a brief stop in play as Pellegrino takes a whack in his own box. The restart comes with a goal kick from Suzuki.

We have our first booking. Parma's Sohm gets the yellow after cynically halting the skipping run of Kolo Muani in the centre of the home half. This is a dangerous position for a central-right cross.

Parma don't use the corner effectively, with it being over-shot from the right before Valeri's cross gets claimed by Di Gregorio.

Bonny skips through the midfield of Juventus before sending the ball to the right. The attempted cross is blocked behind by Cambiaso. Juve aren't happy as they feel Vlahovic was fouled just before the hosts' counterattack developed.

Another bleak spell in this first half. Another fact? Parma have drawn each of their last five league games and could draw six successive Serie A games for the first time in their history (five also between April and May 2019).

Kalulu sprints out of defence and runs down the Juve right before crossing low for Vlahovic at the near post. The Serbian goes for a deft flick, but misjudges it and it's wide.

Juve pop the ball around with intent on the left edge of the Parma box. Cambiaso gets the ball out wide and tries to cross, but it's blocked. In the next phase, the delivery comes in, but Suzuki can jump and claim easily.

Bonny keeps the hosts' attack alive with some determined running in the centre. He gets pinned by Locatelli and Kalulu for a foul. Estevez clips in the free-kick, but a Juve head can nod out before it's cleared. Thuram then drives away, but doesn't get too far.

Valeri's free-kick from the left is headed up but not properly cleared. Bonny gets the chance to touch and drive down the right of the Juve box before his shot is deflected behind for a corner on that side. This is cleared before Estevez's second cross is also powered away. The visitors ride out a couple more brief attacks before forcing Parma backwards.

Those early changes haven't really affected the tempo too badly. Parma continue their time on the ball before Juve get it back. Valeri is then fouled by McKennie as he sneaks in to win the ball back on their left.

The second change sees the injured Vogliacco replaced by 23-year-old French defender, Antoine Hainaut.

Well, in a surprising turn, there is more than one change. First, Bernabe comes off for Nahuel Estevez.

The Juve corner from Cambiaso comes in and immediately gets forced out to the wing-back for another go. His second ball is just as unsuccessful, before play ends as a left-sided cross is claimed comfortably by Suzuki.

Gonzalez drives down the right for the away side, yet Vogliacco tracks back well at the byline to put it out for a corner. The defender looks to have tweaked something there, though, and goes down to receive some medical input. Antoine Hainaut is seen warming up on the sidelines. Vogliacco is devastated as he walks off around the side of the pitch.

An interesting stat as the early sparring continues, anyone? Among the teams in the bottom half of the table, only Como have won more points (17) than Parma (16) against opponents currently in the top half of the table. Furthermore, the Gialloblu have remained unbeaten in each of the last four of these matches (draw against Fiorentina, Inter, Torino and win against Bologna).

Valeri seems to be the early threat for the hosts. Valenti looks for the winger, but his pass is too hard. Juve have a throw before Parma get the ball back and enjoy some more early possession.

Valeri goes down after a long ball finds him on Parma's left. It looked as if McKennie pushed him there, but referee Chiffi wasn't interested.

EARLY EFFORT! Juve start quickly and play ends with Locatelli trying an effort on the central-right. It's just outside the box and struck the outside of his right boot. However, going for that left side of the goal, his strike just whizzes past the post.

And we're off in Northern Italy as Vlahovic plays the ball back at kick-off.

The players meet as the pre-game rituals and routines draw to a close. Referee Chiffi brings together the two captains, Delprato and Locatelli, for the coin toss. After we see a moment of applause and respect for the recently passed Pope, it looks like the visitors will get us started. They will be kicking from left to right.

Today's referee is Daniele Chiffi. He has the players ready and raring to go in Emilia-Romagna and leads them out onto the pitch. Parma drew the reverse game against Juventus this season 2-2. With a good result here tonight, the Ducali could avoid defeat in both Serie A matches against the Bianconeri for the first time in the competition since 2010-11 (W2). Juve enter with confidence, however, victorious in their last three away games against Parma in Serie A - a record for the Bianconeri in the top-flight.

After last time out’s 2-1 win over Lecce, Igor Tudor moves his team from a 3-4-2-1 shape to a 3-5-2. The Juve boss is forced to sacrifice his two scorers in that match as both Teun Koopmeiners and Kenan Yildiz make way. The former is struggling with an Achilles problem, while the latter suffered an impact injury in training. Subsequently, in comes Randal Kolo Muani, as Koopmeiners’ offensive midfield position becomes one that partners Dusan Vlahovic up top. Andrea Cambiaso comes in for Yildiz.

Parma boss Cristian Chivu fields the same squad that faced Fiorentina on the 13th of April. That 0-0 was their most recent stalemate in a string of five consecutive draws.

Both battling for different objectives at either end of the Serie A standings, Parma and Juventus clash at Stadio Tardini today. While the Gialloblu are fighting for survival, Juve aim to secure a top-four finish and salvage something from another below-par campaign. Juventus edged out lowly Lecce last weekend, taking them back into the top four at Bologna's expense, and now look to re-enter that mix with this game in hand. Parma's last success against the Old Lady dates back to 2015. They did hold out for a 2-2 draw in October's reverse fixture, and may use that and a recent run of stalemates to continue their path to survival after last term’s promotion. Parma are currently three points off the drop zone, with this their game in hand on the teams below them after Monday’s rescheduling due to the death of the Pope.
