Everton set to end interest in Crouch after £10million quote

Everton have been put off Tottenham striker Peter Crouch after being quoted a fee of £10m, talkSPORT understands.
David Moyes is said to be weighing up a move for the England international but Tottenham are trying to recoup as much of the £10m fee they paid for him back in 2009 when he joined from Portsmouth.
Moyes is not willing to offer contract rebel Steven Pienaar as part of a swap deal as he is eager to keep the South African and Goodison Park and offer him a new contract.
Crouch, 29, is said to be one of the expendable names in the Tottenham squad if Harry Redknapp secures them Champions League football.
Redknapp is keen to land Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano and sources close to the club claim he will make his move if Spurs overcome Young Boys in the Champions League qualifying round on Tuesday night.
Any move for the Brazilian would hinge on Redknapp cutting down his striking options and while Moyes is a fan of Crouch, he has cooled his interest after being told it would cost a sizeable fee if he was to sign the former Liverpool striker.
Moyes remains active in the transfer market but is working on a tight budget at Goodison Park, with getting Pienaar to sign a new contract one of his main priorities this summer.
Having already tied down Jack Rodwell and Mikel Arteta to long term deals, Moyes is more keen on getting Pienaar to commit his future to the club than signing new players but the Scot is scouring the loan and free agent market in the hope of picking up a bargain.
