Redknapp: ‘Sevilla are asking crazy money for Fabiano’

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes Sevilla want "crazy money" for Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano.

Spurs have been linked with the 29-year-old throughout the summer, and have recently enquired about the possibility of signing him.

But, despite Tottenham earning up to £30m for Champions League qualification, Redknapp confirmed that Sevilla are currently pricing Fabiano far too high to make a move.

"He's a player that I like but they are talking crazy money for him for a player his age," Redknapp said.

"He's got one year left on his contract, he's 29 and they still want in excess of £24-25m.

"The chairman has enquired but the figures just don't stack up. It's not a goer at that sort of money."
