Blackpool plan transfer raid for Rangers star

Ian Holloway is plotting a last-minute transfer raid for Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty.

The Blackpool boss wants EIGHT new players before the window closes, and the Northern Ireland international is the man he wants to lead his attacking line.

The big striker moved to Ibrox from Burnley in 2008 for £3.25m and the Glasgow giants are apparently willing to let him leave.

Elsewhere, Holoway is also hoping to finalise moves for David Nugent and Mamadou Bah today.

Strasbourg midfielder Bah, 22, is wanted to add some steel to Holloway's midfield, while the Blackpool boss is eager to bolster his attacking options with the signing of striker Nugent, 25.

The Portsmouth forward has struggled to adapt at Fratton Park since moving in 2007 but Holloway is keen on offering him terms so he can prove himself in the Premier League.
