Tottenham to send fit again Woodgate out on loan

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that he plans to send fit-again Jonathan Woodgate on loan in January in a bid to resurrect his career.
The former-Real Madrid defender has endured an injury-hit career and his most recent groin injury has restricted him to just four Tottenham appearances in over 18 months.
His failure to recover also saw him miss out on a place in Redknapp's 25-man squad for the season and the manager had even suggested that his career might be over.
But, having made a shock return to first-team training this week, Woodgate is now set to regain full match fitness by leaving on loan in January.
Redknapp said: "I would let him go out on-loan to get some games.
"I've just spoken to him now and said to him it might be a good idea for him to go out and play. He'd fancy that, to go and have a spell and get some games under his belt.
"That's what he needs to do - he's been out for a long time. He's a fantastic centre-half and anybody who loaned Jonathan Woodgate would be getting one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
"It would be better for him to go out and get games rather than being here and training. I've got lots of centre-backs and it would only be about fixing up the odd reserve game at the training ground."
