Tottenham to move for Muntari if bid for Real Madrid star fails

Tottenham are ready to move for Sulley Muntari should they fail to land their No.1 midfield target Lassana Diarra this month.

Harry Redknapp has targeted the former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder to add steel to their midfield but the manager is unsure whether Real Madrid want to sell.

Muntari is currently wanted by Sunderland but the Ghanian, who was signed by Redknapp at Portsmouth, insists he will only play in the Premier League for a London club.

That could open the door for the Tottenham manager to launch a bid for the Inter Milan outcast, who has only started one Serie A game this season.

Redknapp was reportedly interested in Muntari during the summer and after the 26-year-old’s failure to cement a place at Inter, the manager could be ready to go back for him.
