Arsenal to reject offers for Frimpong

Southampton and Charlton have made enquiries for Arsenal youngster Emmanuel Frimpong - but Arsene Wenger won't let the midfielder go on loan.

The two League One sides have been tracking the 18-year-old since last season and wanted the Ghanaian-born midfielder to add steel to their promotion push.

But Frimpong's superb performances in pre-season are likely to ensure he remains part of Wenger's plans and have scuppered the move.
