Juventus lining up shock £8m swoop for Spurs star

Juventus are lining up an £8m offer for Tottenham left-back Benoit Assou-ekotto, according to reports in Italy.

The Cameroon international has been identified by the Serie A giants as a key summer target after club scouts returned with rave reviews of the defender.

But it is unlikely Tottenham will want to sell Assou-Ekotto who has been in fine form over his 32 appearances this season.

But Juventus think a bid of around £8m could be enough to persuade Spurs to sell.
