LIV Golf Bedminster: What has been said?

Smith claimed a historic win at The 150th Open Championship at St Andrews last weekend but failed to rule out joining LIV after his victory.

Asked about rumours linking him with a move to the series, he said: "I don't know, mate.

"My team worries about all that stuff. I'm here to win golf tournaments.

"I just won The Open, and you're asking about that. I think that's not good.”

9/11 Families United chair Terry Strada said: “We’re trying to educate the golfers and the public in the dangers of sportswashing.

“It’s evident that MBS [Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman] is trying to improve the kingdom’s image by manipulating U.S. public opinion. What they’re trying to do, mostly, is erase history with the 9/11 community, and whitewash the responsibility they have to victims’ families and survivors.”
