'Notorious' is never usually one to keep things low-key and 2022 saw him host a wild yacht party in Ibiza.

This time, however, McGregor decided to spend his birthday having a romantic meal alongside fiancee Dee Devlin.

He posed for pictures alongside Devlin, who is pregnant with his fourth child, and drank his own 'Proper Twelve' whiskey.

One possible reason for McGregor's toned-down celebrations could be his preparations for a UFC comeback.

The 35-year-old has not fought in the octagon since breaking his leg during a trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, but he is booked to face Michael Chandler.

In a recent, since-deleted tweet, he claimed to be fighting Chandler in December – with the final UFC pay-per-view show of the year scheduled to take place on December 16.

However, McGregor recently missed an important drug test deadline which means he will not be able to compete in 2023 unless the UFC makes an exception for its biggest star.
