Conor McGregor punches man in Dublin pub ‘after he refused to drink his whisky’

Footage has emerged of Conor McGregor punching a man in a Dublin pub after a row.

The UFC superstar was seen in the Marble Arch pub in the Irish capital on April 6 and was lining up glasses on the bar for everyone present to try some of his Proper Twelve whiskey.

One man sitting at the bar is thought to have refused the offer of a drink from McGregor.

In CCTV obtained by McGregor is seen standing close to the man before suddenly lashing out with his left hand, connecting with the man's face.

The victim, who is reportedly in his 50s, did not react and remained sitting at his stool.

The 'Notorious' was quickly ushered out of the bar by pals.

The Irish fighter is believed to have spoken to detectives over the incident but was not formally arrested over the matter.

A file has been passed by police to Ireland's Director of Public Prosecutions to make a decision over whether to charge the star.

A Garda spokesman said: “(We) are investigating an incident at a pub in Drimnagh, Dublin, on April 6.

"No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing.”

It is not the first time McGregor has found himself at the centre of controversy outside of the Octagon.

In April 2018, he smashed a bus window in New York during his dispute with Khabib Nurmagomedov, but managed to escape felony charges.

Earlier this year, McGregor was arrested in Miami after smashed a phone out of a fan’s hand, but the charges were later dropped.

The former two-weight UFC champion has not fought since his loss to Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in Las Vegas last October.

The next time he steps in the Octagon could be later this year with Dana White previously suggesting he expects him to fight soon.
