The Chicago Bears franchise quarterback can join an exclusive list that includes the greatest football player of all time in Tom Brady, and surprisingly, Derek Carr.

In Chicago's Week 16 loss to the Detroit Lions, Williams passed for 334 yards and two touchdowns, with no interceptions and a 107.7 QB rating.

He became the sixth rookie quarterback ever with four games of 300+ passing yard and 2+ touchdowns.

Williams can become only the third quarterback ever with ten straight games of 20-plus pass attempt and no interceptions.

The other two?

Brady and Carr.

He is currently at 326 consecutive attempts without an interception.

It is the longest streak ever by a rookie quarterback and can extend that in Chicago's showdown against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night.

In other words, Williams has been as advertised with the no.1 overall pick.

While overall it's been a chaotic and disappointing season for the Chicago franchise, stumbling to a 4-11 record and firing head coach Matt Eberflus, Williams has proven to be the bright spot.

With two games to go, he has a chance to become the Bears' single-season leader in passing yards.

He is currently at 3,271 yards, good for sixth, and will need 567 more, to pass Erik Kramer's 3,838.

While Williams hasn't yet found the team success the Bears were hoping for, they found their guy.

And it's been a long time since the Windy City franchise could say that.

A franchise quarterback is something that hasn't been associated with the Bears in a very long time.

Chicago now has that.

What's next is finding a head coach to pair with their face of the franchise.

A decision that looms large.

But for now, Bears fans can take solace, that while the wins may not be racking up at the moment, they have their guy.

And that's all that matters.
