‘All in? He was all out’ – Skip Bayless stuns fans with Dallas Cowboys decision and it’s all on one man

Skip Bayless has switched allegiances.

The veteran analyst has been a Dallas Cowboys fan for his entire life, but has grown increasingly frustrated with the front office, and has now 'given up' on the franchise.

On Sunday, he shared a four-minute video on social media ranting about the Cowboys, before revealing he's now a Philadelphia Eagles fan.

And it's all Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' fault.

Beginning his rant, Bayless called back to the end of the 2023 season, where the heavily-favored Cowboys suffered a shock loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card round.

"You might remember that after the 2023 season ended, at home, at Jerry World… I (marched) into my kitchen, to the trash can, and threw away every last piece of all my Cowboy wear, all my jerseys, all my hats," he said.

"Everything went bam, bam, bam, right into the trash where it all stayed. So I had to start over before last football season. I had to buy a new jersey, and I had only one shot.";

Bayless then explained that he invested in a Brandon Aubrey jersey, hoping that wearing the number 17, which belongs to the Cowboys kicker, would bring him luck.

It didn't with Dallas finishing 7-10 and missing out on the playoffs in 2024.

That was apparently the final straw for Bayless, who went on to compare offseason comments from Cowboys owner Jones and Philly's Super Bowl-winning general manager Howie Roseman.

He continued: "I sat back through the offseason and I had to hear my owner, Scary Jerry, say, 'I'm all in'. And he was all out, because he did next to nothing.

"Then I had to sit painfully, silently, and watch Howie Roseman, the GM of the Philadelphia Eagles, win the entire offseason.

"He won free agency. He won the draft. He had the greatest offseason any GM has ever had. And I finally gave up."

Not only has Bayless given up on the Cowboys, but he has defected to the Eagles, and will be repping the Super Bowl champs in 2025.

"I have now purchased, with my own money, this jersey featuring the quarterback I have always loved, Jalen Hurts, and a team I have always hated, the freaking Philadelphia Eagles," Bayless said.

"I hate this color. It makes me sick at my stomach. And it has come to this, ladies and gentlemen. Behold, Cowboy Nation. What do you think? Fly, Eagles, fly. It's your fault, Jerry Jones.

"You made me do this."

While Bayless shocked fans by switching his allegiances to the Eagles, his decision to buy a Hurts jersey is less surprising.

He will be rooting for Philly next season, despite hating the team since he was 10

The analyst has been a fan of the quarterback since his college days, and was heartbroken when he was drafted by Philadelphia in the second round of the 2020 draft.

"This made me sick on two levels… I love Jalen Hurts. Unfortunately, on another level, I hate the Philadelphia Eagles. I have hated them since I was 10 years old," Bayless said at the time.

"I just can't stand the thought of it because I told you from the start, Hurts is good enough to be a starting quarterback in the National Football League.

"He is good enough to carry a team to the playoffs on his leadership and tangibles, his play-making, and simply his killer will, because he will put a team on his back."

Bayless' prediction has now come true, and not only did Hurts carry the Eagles to the playoffs, but he was named MVP in Super Bowl LIX.

And while he has previously claimed to have hated Philly since he was 10 years old, it seems that in 2025, he will actually be cheering for the defending champs.
