David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd left stunned live on-air by England’s failure to review lbw shout on Rohit Sharma

David 'Bumble' Lloyd was left stunned live on talkSPORT 2 when he realised England failed to review a good lbw shout on Rohit Sharma.

The India captain was dropped by Joe Root earlier on in the day, and the technology showed that should England have reviewed, Sharma would have had to go.

Rehan Ahmed bowled to Sharma; he tried to slog-sweep the spinner to the offside, missed the ball, and it hit his arm, which counts as lbw [leg before wicket].

However, after a quick discussion, Ahmed convinced Ben Stokes that it hit Sharma's glove, which can't be lbw.

But 'Bumble' then saw a replay of the incident with the technology and was left flabbergasted by England's decision.

Speaking on talkSPORT 2's commentary, he said: "Have we just missed an lbw?

"The original decision was not out, the impact is in line, it's hit in line, it's hitting and England think he's hit it.

"England have missed it. England appealed and didn't review.

"Ohhhhhhh, they've missed it."

Sharma went on to score 131 and was on 87 when the ball hit his arm.

The technology showed that the delivery was going to crash into leg stump, and he would have had to walk.

In the end, Ahmed decided he wasn't going to review, and Stokes respected that decision.

However, 'Bumble' believes that Ben Foakes should have been more vocal and demanded a review.

Speaking on talkSPORT 2, he said: "Who's got to lead that?

"He's a young bowler; the wicketkeeper has got to have a bigger voice there and say, 'hang on, let's have a look upstairs.'

"They've missed it

"He's [Ahmed] got it wrong."

England made a great start to the third Test match, taking three early wickets.

However, Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja scored over 200 runs together to put the hosts into a commanding position at 326-5 at the close of play.

Both that drop and failure to review cost England plenty of runs, but they are still in this Test.
