Stuart Broad bizarrely forced to play role of steward before taking 600th Test wicket

Stuart Broad bizarrely took on the role of steward before claiming his 600th Test wicket, during the first day of the fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford.
The strange circumstance arose after Marnus Labuschagne complained of sunshine reflecting off some of the empty seats.
The Australian batsman voiced his concerns to the umpire during the 14th over, claiming there was an issue behind the bowler’s arm.
Drinks were taken as the match was brought to a halt before Broad played steward to spectators assembled in the James Anderson End.
Broad subsequently directed fans up to the back row to the point where the sunlight was reflecting off the bases of the seats.
Ground staff were then called in to help lower the glare by applying tape to the seat bases before the play resumed and cloud cover replaced the sun.
However, the break in play was not a welcome one for Labuschagne’s partner David Warner whose rhythm appeared to be disrupted.
After starting well, Warner departed for 32 off Chris Woakes’ testing ball after opting for an aggressive shot.
It was an eventful day for Broad who took his 599th Test wicket when he removed Usman Khawaja by LBW for just 3.
And he didn't have to wait long before claiming the milestone 600th Test wicket when he dismissed Travis Head for 48.
England face a must-win Test against the Aussies who themselves can wrap up the series with a win in Manchester.
