Men's Australian Open preview
For the men's Australian Open, Novak Dkokovic entered the competition once again as the main favourite at around evens, just ahead of the 3/1 shot Carlos Alcaraz.
The 20-year-old really announced himself as a contender for Grand Slam titles for years to come with a great display at Wimbledon 2023.
He beat the Serbian, ending an incredibly long unbeaten record for Djokovic on centre court, winning the final 3 sets to 2.

It followed the Spaniard winning the Queen's Club Championships, Barcelona Open, Madrid Open and Indian Wells Masters, going to show he is consistent throughout and on different surfaces.
He met Djokovic again in the Cininnati Masters but lost 2-1, losing the last two sets where they both went the distance.
Alcaraz hasn't won a tournament since Wimbledon but looks set to relish the surface, but may well fall to Djokovic's outstanding form in Melbourne.
They are now both aiming to meet each other in the finals once more as they've both progressed into the quarter-finals with relative ease and are clear odds-on favourites to win their respective matches.

Women's Australian Open preview
Iga Swiatek also came into this tournament as the favourite which is a running theme for the Polish number one.
But she went on a bit of a run without a big title win in 2023, losing in the US Open to Jelena Ostapenko and she was also dumped out of the quarter-final at Wimbledon in the summer by Elina Svitolina.
The number one seed had won the China Open and WTA Finals in succession in the lead up to this Grand Slam main event but was quickly out here in the third round when losing two sets to one to Czechian Linda Noskova.
This is her best ever run in a Grand Slam competition having only previously made it to the second rounds of the French Open and US Open in 2023, but she's clearly learning and progressing in tough competitions.
However the reigning champ, Aryna Sabalenka, who wasn't far behind Swiatek in the odds at the start has now gone in to favourite just ahead of Coco Gauff.
The market for the Women's Grand Slam titles are always wide open, with a huge amount of players capable of winning.
Women's Australian Open odds
- Aryna Sabalenka - 11/8
- Coco Gauff - 6/4
- Qinwen Zheng - 6/1
- Linda Noskova - 8/1
Gauff and Sabalenka are clear to win their next matches against the market outsiders, but may face a tough challenge against some of these players looking to make a huge impression in their biggest runs yet.
Zheng is ranked number 12 here and has been dominant so far winning 6-0 and 6-3 in her fourth round clash and is now just 6/1 to win the whole tournament.
