Clash at the Castle will be the highlight of a double header for WWE in the city, with Friday Night SmackDown also airing from the venue the night before.

“We are excited to bring both Friday Night SmackDown and Clash At The Castle: Scotland to our amazing fans in Scotland at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow this June,” said WWE President Nick Khan.

“The world will see that this is one of the UK’s best venues and Scottish crowds are some of the loudest, craziest and most passionate on the planet.”

Scotland is home to several WWE Superstars, including Drew McIntyre, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Piper Niven, Nikki Cross, Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang, and Noam Dar.

Rangers super fan McIntyre will be hoping to fly the flag for his home nation by bringing home the gold for Clash – he challenges Seth Rollins for WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship at Night Two of WrestleMania XL this coming Sunday.

The announcement of Clash At The Castle heading back to the UK follows the record-setting Wales edition of the same event which took place at Principality Stadium in Cardiff in September 2022.

At the time, the event became the most-viewed and highest-rated international Premium Live Event in company history.

McIntyre main evented that night, too, coming up short in his quest to dethrone Roman Reigns and capture the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship, even with Tyson Fury effectively in his corner.

The Glasgow show also continues an international expansion in Premium Live Events of sorts for the grappling superpower – they recently held Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia, and take their Backlash event to Paris, France next month..

UK fans are planning to stay up late for WrestleMania – the company’s biggest event of the year – over the course of this coming Saturday and Sunday.
