‘I have no interest in that’ – Logan Paul hilariously shuts down Hulk Hogan’s pitch for major WWE storyline

Hulk Hogan has wildly claimed he can turn Logan Paul into one of wrestling’s greatest ever good guys – but the WWE star is having absolutely none of it.

Paul has wrestled as a heel – a wrestling term for a bad guy or a villainous character on screen – for almost the entirety of his run in the company.

That came after a brief, failed attempt by WWE to present him as a fan favourite – something wrestling audiences quickly cut off with their live reactions.

A polarising figure outside of the wrestling world thanks to his larger-than-life and at times controversial personality on his YouTube channel, the 29-year-old appears destined to be booed wherever he goes.

To his credit, the grappler has leaned into that perfectly and has established himself as one of the finest modern-day heels in WWE, mixing a brash and arrogant personality with an unquestionable skill and talent when it comes to getting business done bell to bell.

As a result, Hogan’s visit to Paul’s Impaulsive descended into near farcical scenes as the recently-dethroned United States Champion sat and listened to what amounted to a seminar from the WWE Hall of Famer on how he’d make the perfect babyface – a wrestling hero and ‘good guy’ who is cheered and adored by fans.

In typical Hulkster fashion, the 71-year-old imagined that he’d be the one who could make it all happen, by taking a beatdown from WWE villains in order to be ‘saved’ by a heroic Logan, who watched on bemused.

Hulk outlined his vision with an astonishing comparison to disgraced wrestler Chris Benoit, who committed suicide after taking the lives of his own family, saying: “The wrestling fans are very forgiving. If Chris Benoit can do the crap he did and the fans still love him, they’re very forgiving.

“I’ve made some major mistakes in my personal life, [and] they forgive you.

“For instance… you’ve got the old man standing in the ring going: ‘Hey, brother, welcome to Monday Night Raw,’ or whatever I’m doing, and all of a sudden [WWE heels The Bloodline] came out and grounded the p*** out of me.

“They pull the rag off my bald head and start shaving my moustache off… if he [Logan] hit the ring and got the red and yellow rub, it’s done.

“It doesn’t matter where he’s been, what he’s done – it’s all about getting that right rub at the right time.

“I can’t wait to see them turn you babyface, it’s gonna be great.”

After initially openly laughing at Hogan’s suggestions and letting the 1980s hero say his piece, ending it by declaring it shouldn’t be something that happens immediately, Paul made his position on the whole matter very clear - by slamming the door shut on it.

“Oh no, I have no interest in doing that, no,” Logan hit back.

“I think being a heel is f****** awesome.”

Ohio native Paul hasn’t featured in WWE since this year’s SummerSlam, where he lost his US title to LA Knight.

He’s said he’s looking to increase his wrestling workload in future, though, and is aiming for a major 2025.
